Back to School BBQ & Ribbon Cutting Ceremonies!

On Tuesday, September 16, our community enjoyed yet another wonderful Back to School BBQ, sponsored by the PTA.  The weather was gorgeous, the food was delicious, and the company was outstanding!  Many thanks to everyone who came together to make this happen; from the PTA to the FHES Staff.  This night is an annual highlight on the calendar.

Also on this night we celebrated by enjoying two ribbon cutting ceremonies.  In an effort to encourage students to be active and healthy, The Tysons Corner Center sponsored the installation of our FHES bike rack.  We are thrilled to see it put to such good use everyday. The school logo on the rack turned out so nice!  A big thank you to Ms. Hillary Katherine Zahm, Macerich/Tysons Corner Center, for contacting FHES about this opportunity and facilitating the process.  We were appreciative that Mr. Justin Schor was able to be with us for the ribbon cutting to represent Tysons Corner Center.

We also cut the ribbon to officially welcome the addition of our new running/walk track.  This new addition is just what we needed as a community!  It’s hard to catch a glimpse of the track not being used either by our students (for various purposes including the running program) or other members of the community.

We are incredibly fortunate on The Hill!

Enjoy some pictures from the ribbon cutting ceremonies taken by Mr. Francis, FHES parent.  Thank you Mr. Francis for these wonderful pictures!

Mr. Bloom took a few pictures at the BBQ posted here as well.
