Taylor Rudd, part-time Counselor, will be taking a leave of absence for the 2015-16 school year as she is expecting her 2nd child in August!

  • George Mason University graduate with intern experience at Halley ES in FCPS and Early Intervention in Prince William County

Rowena Smith- Kindergarten Teacher

  • 11 years of teaching experience (Philippines, Mexico, Qatar, Maryland) with a Master’s degree in Reading Education

Barbara Jackson – 2nd grade teacher

  • Certified Reading Specialist coming from Laurel Ridge ES formerly as a kindergarten teacher with experience outside of FCPS as well

Regina Patterson – 3rd grade teacher

  • Supervised by Mr. Bloom as a kindergarten teacher in Prince William County, currently coming from Lemon Road ES with 3rd grade experience

Salina Kovski – 3rd grade teacher

  • Indiana University of Pennsylvania graduate with dual certification in Early Childhood and Special Education and 3rd grade student teaching experience

Sera Lee – 5th grade teacher

  • Master’s degree in Curriculum and Instruction with an emphasis in Elementary Reading with seven years of teaching experience in US (including FCPS), Europe, Asia, and Middle East

Jessica Curran – 5th grade teacher 

  • Coming from Rhode Island with 9 years of teaching experience and a Master’s degree in literacy in progress

Alyssa Shultz – Special Education teacher

  • Master’s degree in Special Education from George Mason University with several years of experience specializing in the instruction of students with a wide range of disabilities including Emotional Disabilities, Autism, and Specific Learning Disabilities

Carolyn Lowe – Special Education teacher (Intellectual Disabilities Severe)

  • Former Special Education instructional assistant at FHES returning from Fort Belvoir ES with experience with our Intellectual Disabilities Severe class

Christine Kim – Music teacher

  • Former intern with Mrs. Lynch (our other music teacher) returning as a part-time music teacher

Amber Trzcinski – PE teacher

  • George Mason University graduate with student teaching experience in FCPS

Kristen Kristobak – Guidance Counselor

  • Teacher and Certified Professional Counselor with ten years experience coming from Groveton ES as a kindergarten teacher

Denise Smith, Special Education teacher

  • Experienced Special Education/general education teacher coming from Thomas Aquinas School with a Master’s degree in Special Education (learning and emotional disabilities)

Andi Kim, art teacher

  • George Mason University graduate with a Master’s degree in Art Teaching and student teaching experience in FCPS

Janice Melchiorre, front office assistant

  • Previously a front office assistant and Parent Liaison at Yorkshire ES (PWCS)

  • Previously at Clearview ES as a PHA
