Registration is open for Creative Writing Summer Camp, back for its third summer!

July 30, 2018 – August 3, 2018
1:00 pm – 4:30 pm each day

Sponsored by Westbriar PTA, located at Freedom Hill ES, and open to all rising 3rd – rising 7th graders in Vienna.

If you have a creative child, this club is a perfect fit! Using our many original prompts, students will use their imaginations, play games, enjoy writing, and laugh a lot. In past years, students’ favorite activities included developing short stories from science fiction and historical fiction, writing and performing skits, analyzing pop song lyrics, and creating silly limerick and haiku poems. When writing, students will learn to capture each moment, create images in the reader’s mind, and elicit connection and evoke emotion from the reader, among other skills we hope they will hone. We are especially excited because Harry Potter’s birthday falls during Creative Writing Camp, so we have some fun plans!
