Welcome Back!

January 6, 2014

Dear Freedom Hill Community,As we look back on 2013, we have so much to celebrate.  All of us can remember accomplishments, wonderful experiences, and new knowledge gained.  Friendships were made, challenges were overcome, and each of us got a little bit older.  As a school community, we could spend quite some time reflecting on the great work we have done together – students, staff, families…everyone!  All of us also faced many challenges in 2013.  These challenges made us stronger and better prepared to make the New Year even more successful than the last.  Together we can accomplish anything.  2014 will be even more successful than 2013, but we must support one another.  When a Freedom Hill Eagle falls down, we pick them up.  When a Freedom Hill Eagle needs help, we lend a hand.  When a Freedom Hill Eagle is sad, we make them smile.

I want to thank each and every one of you for an outstanding 2013 at Freedom Hill.

Students – You have impressed me so much.  You never give up and celebrate all that you have learned.  You are willing to experiment and realize that it is OK to fail because it makes you better.  You are not afraid to take risks and try something new.  You know how important it is to work well with others.  You continue improving your reading, writing, math, science, and social studies by trying your best during school each and every day.  You complete your homework.  You ask for help.  You are life-long learners.

Staff – Never have I had the pleasure to come to school each day with such dedicated and talented adults.  Never does a day pass when I haven’t learned something new from you.  You devote an incredible amount of time and energy in order to give our students the very best education.  You value not only academics, but also the social and emotional well-being of our students.  You value collaboration and realize that we will always be stronger working together.  You never give up.  You do whatever it takes for our students to be successful.  You never stop looking to find ways to get better at your craft.  You are life-long learners.

As we welcome 2014, I predict the best year yet!  We will continue our great work each and every day at Freedom Hill.  We will make sure to always try and get a good night’s rest, eat healthy, stay active, and spend time with family and friends.  We will celebrate our future successes and continue helping one another.  We will be faced with new challenges, but we will never give up.  We will continue to learn together, discover new things, and share new ideas.

I am so proud to be your Principal in 2014.

Wishing you all the best in the New Year,

Scott E. Bloom

Principal
