First Annual Dr. Seuss Family Reading Night in honor of Read Across America day on March 3rd!

Come join Freedom Hill teachers in our first Dr. Seuss Family Reading Night in honor of Read Across America day on March 3rd, from 6:00-8:00pm!  We’ll have free pizza, games and crafts, as well as story stations around the school with our very own Freedom Hill teachers!  We’ll be reading classics like The Cat in the Hat, Oh, The Places You’ll Go!, the Lorax and other favorites.

The Dr. Seuss Family Reading Night will run from 6:00-8:00, with pizza from 6:00-6:30 and games, crafts and stories from 6:30-8:00.  There will be parent information sessions in English and Spanish and parents can walk away with some tips for setting their kids up for academic success when reading aloud to them.  Mrs. Rossman, FHES Reading Specialist, and other teachers will be on hand to answer any questions you have.  Most importantly, we want children to have fun reading Dr. Seuss books (kids can even take selfies dressed up as their favorite Dr. Seuss character) and to inspire parents to keep reading to their children!

All students preK-6th are invited to attend with an adult.  Please send the RSVP at the bottom of the flyer (in this week’s Tuesday folders) back to classroom teachers by this Friday,  Feb 21st so we can get a head count for pizza.  If you lose your flyer, please feel free to RSVP to Mrs. Rossman.

Please contact Mrs. Rossman with any questions or if you would like to volunteer at the pizza table, Melissa.Rossman@fcps.edu .
