The objective of Tax Day is to teach the students how the colonists felt about the taxes that Parliament and King George imposed on them.

Boy did they get the message!

The students were the colonists and I was the King.  I even wore a crown that had my name on it so that all at school could see.  We also walked around with a sign that stated to the school that “Today is Tax Day for the Colonists – Signed by King George”.
