A message from our SCA Staff Sponsors (Miss Roque, Miss Curran, Mrs. Nowak) to the staff:

Good Evening Freedom Hill,

Cristy, Jessica, and I would like to thank all of you for your help with the Used Book Drive we did the past month!   All we can say is, “Wow!”

We collected over 2,000 books (we met our goal of 1,500) to give to students here at Freedom Hill who needed some books at home over winter break to read!

We then were able to give books to our classroom teachers to get to bring new books into their library or to build their classroom library.

Now, from over, 2000 books, we now only have 7 small boxes to give to Books for America to give to other local schools.

This drive was successful due to all the hard work of students in SCA as well as those students in fourth and fifth grade classrooms.  They came in early for over a week and/or gave up their time to scan/organize books.

Thank you to all who participated.
