Celebrate Reading with FHES Staff and Students at Dr. Seuss Night!

Wednesday, March 16th from 6-7:45pm

6th-12th grade student volunteers needed!

Freedom Hill will be holding its 3rd annual Dr. Seuss Night, Wednesday, March 16th from 6-7:45 pm.   There will be free pizza (until it runs out), story stations, a Dr. Seuss-your-selfie photo booth, games and crafts and a book swap for kids – make sure to bring a book to the event so every child can take a book home.  There will also be opportunities for parents and kids to explore the wonderful online reading resources Fairfax County offers and even a nursery where parents can drop younger children, ages 2-4, to hear stories and play in a quieter space with teachers. Come join Freedom Hill teachers and staff as we celebrate our love of reading!

We need lots of 6th -12th grade students to help out in our photobooth, games/craft, book swap and read aloud stations!  Contact Mrs. Rossman, FHES Reading Specialist Melissa.Rossman@fcps.edu with any questions or if you have an older student (grades 6-12) who would like to volunteer for service hours.  We’re also looking for tubs of playdough and Legos for the nursery.  Bring to the office and label it with Mrs. Rossman’s name if you would like to donate these items.
