Student Registration Welcome Center Webpage Launched

Student Registration Welcome Center Webpage Launched

Recently, the FCPS centrally located Student Registration (to include all three registration sites) underwent a name change and is now called the Student Registration Welcome Center. This new name better reflects the services provided during the central registration process (registration, assessment, transition support, etc.). In addition, a Student Registration Welcome Center webpage was launched as of January 1st, to provide families with information and resources concerning FCPS policies, procedures and practices, and which will support their transition to FCPS.

Through this new webpage, parents and students can access videos and resources on a variety of topics, to include Attendance, Free & Reduced Price Meals, Using My School Bucks, School Busses, creating a SIS Parent account, how to get internet access, and more. Videos are available for viewing in four languages – Arabic, Korean, Spanish and Vietnamese. Some videos are also available in English.

When new families register at a Student Registration Welcome Center site, parents are introduced to this new website and encouraged to explore the resources and videos on their mobile device while they wait. Base schools in FCPS are encouraged to share this website with families as part of their onsite enrollment process. The website can be found here: https://www.fcps.edu/node/34104
