Freedom Hill Elementary School is committed to getting books into the hands of every child over the summer. To achieve this goal we take the books to our students via the Bookmobile.
Last year Freedom Hill launched the Bookmobile program where FHES teachers handed out books to nearly 100 children! This program occurred three days over the course of the summer. Students saw their teachers, picked books to keep, and enjoyed a cool summer treat.
This summer the Bookmobile returns with more books and excitement to encourage reading throughout the summer for all students! The FHES Bookmobile is the joint project of Mary Gutenson, FHES FECEP/Headstart teacher and Melissa Rossman, FHES Reading Specialist and is supported by teachers, instructional assistants and other FHES staff. You are invited to join the FHES Bookmobile on June 25th, July 9th, July 23rd and August 6: from 10:30-11:30 at Idylwood Village West at the corner of Los Pueblos and Pimmit Run Streets in Falls Church.
